I Am Not A Supporter Of Euthanasia - 1481 Words
Attention Getter: Death is something a lot of people do not like to even think about, but what if tomorrow you were diagnosed with a terminal illness and given a prognosis of only six months to live? I do not know about you, but if I were ever given such a prognosis, I would like to have the option to die with dignity. Thesis Statement: A terminally ill person should have the option to die with dignityââ¬âsomething that is currently only afforded to the terminally ill in five U.S. states via aid in dying laws. Ethos While I am not someone on the front lines of this issue, I have been a supporter of death with dignity as well as have done some research on the topic. I am not a supporter of euthanasia, which is a crime, but I am a supporter of giving the terminally ill bodily autonomy that includes aid in dying as long as that person meets the strict guidelines of his or her stateââ¬â¢s aid in dying law.
