Attention Getter: Death is something a lot of people do not like to even think about, but what if tomorrow you were diagnosed with a terminal illness and given a prognosis of only six months to live? I do not know about you, but if I were ever given such a prognosis, I would like to have the option to die with dignity. Thesis Statement: A terminally ill person should have the option to die with dignity—something that is currently only afforded to the terminally ill in five U.S. states via aid in dying laws. Ethos While I am not someone on the front lines of this issue, I have been a supporter of death with dignity as well as have done some research on the topic.
